Business Description

Employment Solicitor covering Kent and London

Daniel represents employers of all sizes across the full life cycle of the employment relationship.

Employment Advice and Counselling

Daniel has a great deal of experience acting for a wide range of employers, including emerging startups, SMEs to global corporations.

Daniel prides himself on being a “next generation” lawyer, by being a go-to advisor and taking the time to get to know his clients’ businesses and the employment law issues they face.  Daniel listens to the needs and goals of his clients and translates that into straightforward advice without unnecessary legal jargon to provide the best practical and responsive solutions for business owners and HR teams.

Daniel guides his employer clients through  all areas of their day-to-day people-related matters, typically split into a non-contentious and contentious practice.

Non-Contentious and Contentious Employment Matters

On the non-contentious side, Daniel handles disciplinary, grievance and redundancy procedures, and drafts and reviews employment or consultancy arrangements, director service agreements and HR policies. Daniel carries out investigation work on reputationally sensitive issues, and is also regularly involved in advisory work on pressing issues of the day, including on the evolving challenges of the gig economy, where he has guided clients through complex issues of employment status and holiday pay.

Daniel also prepares and negotiates settlement agreements, and provides advice on employee exits on behalf of his clients.

On the contentious side, Daniel acts on behalf of employers concerning the protection of their vital business interests involving the enforceability of restrictive covenants and misuse of confidential information, as well as defending Employment Tribunal claims involving unfair dismissal, discrimination and allegations of whistleblowing.

Training

Daniel regularly provides training to his clients on employment law matters, including on data protection law, equal opportunities and anti-harassment and bullying.
